My husband has never been one much interested in things healthy, but, as of late, he has become a fan of Dr. Asa Andrew. After reading his book, Steve decides we are going on this diet. No dairy, no wheat…wwwhhhaattt???? JIMMINIE CRICKETS!! My first thought was, “What the heck are we going to eat? I don’t know any recipes without dairy and wheat!”. Thankfully, this “diet” (i.e. starvation 101) only lasts for 4 weeks. However 4 weeks is a LONG time when all you are eating is eggs and nuts. Oh…and half your body weight in ounces of water per day.
Today is our day one. I must say, there is a part of me which finds a speckle of excitement in the whole experience. I am fairly certain we will be feeling better soon. I just hope we can stick to our guns and finish the 4 weeks. Discipline. After his trip to Costco yesterday, we have enough fruit for a while. It won’t last long because it is one of the only things we can eat.
With much trepidation, I will say, Fruits, Veggies, nuts, beef, and chicken look out. Here we come!
